what tube? there are lots of possible answers, so be more specific. did you collect a gas by displacing water out of a tube? and now you're comparing the water levels?

bc if there is a difference inside the tube compared to the outside of the tube , the tube would explode . if more pressure outside than inside, the tube would collapse.
