OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify first the numerator then the denominator Finally ,the whole fraction .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u write that out? i don't get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we will start with the numerator : \[\frac{1}{x-3}+\frac{4}{x} \] \[\frac{x+4x-12}{(x-3)(x)}\] \[\frac{5x-12}{(x-3)(x)}\] Then go the the denominator : \[\frac{4}{x}-\frac{1}{x-3}\] \[\frac{4x-12-x}{(x)(x-3)}\] \[\frac{3x-12}{(x)(x-3)}\] Thus; \[\Large \frac{\frac{5x-12}{(x-3)(x)}}{\frac{3x-12}{(x)(x-3)}}\] = \[\Huge \color{Red}{\frac{5x-12}{3x-12}}\]
