HELP PLEASE. Multiple choice!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jfraser):

plug into the formula for change in BP\[\Delta T_B = m*K_f\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand that?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

you have an "m", and you have a "Kb" value given. multiply and solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 0.75 times 0.52?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

yes, but that's the CHANGE in the BP, not the new BP itself. the boiling point of a solution is always HIGHER than the pure solvent. since the solvent is water, the pure solvent boils at 100C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 100.39?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

that's what i get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also am I right in these two below? @JFraser

OpenStudy (jfraser):

second one's right, first one is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help me with the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its be !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about this one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

OpenStudy (jfraser):
