Can anyone help me with writing balanced nuclear equations for the formation of five elements whose atomic number is between helium (2) and iron (26)? I'm completely confused on how to do this.

thomaster (thomaster):

i can. What are the equations that needs to be balanced?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any equations. It just has to include the type of element mentioned above. I tried a few myself but I'm not sure they're correct. So far I have: 1) 13/6 C + 4/2 He --> 16/8 O + 1/0 n (carbon to oxygen) 2) 19/7 N + 4/2 He --> 17/9 F + 1/0 n (nitrogen to fluorine) 3) 16/8 O + 4/2 He --> 19/10 Ne + 1/0 n 4) 13/7 N + 4/2 He --> 16/8 O + 1/0 n I need one more (if the ones I already have are correct??)

thomaster (thomaster):

i think theyre correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there one more that you know of?

thomaster (thomaster):

hmm how about \(\begin{matrix}55 \\ 26\end{matrix}Fe+\begin{matrix}~~~0 \\ -1\end{matrix} e\rightarrow \begin{matrix}55 \\ 25\end{matrix}Mn\)

Okay :D thank you!
