did you get anywhere?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
what do u mean
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
were you able to get anywhere with the problem
OpenStudy (anonymous):
nop
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
ok you would use this identity first
\[\large y*\log(x) = \log\left(x^y\right)\]
afterwards, you would use this identity
\[\large \log(x)+\log(y) = \log\left(xy\right)\]

don't worry about it
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
you can ignore the little b and still be fine

can u show me how to do the problem
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
the identities I posted work for any base
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
whether it's b, 10, 2, etc...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
all the choices that I got have b in them
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
ok think of \[\large y*\log(x) = \log\left(x^y\right)\] as having a b below each log then

ok it shoudl be
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[\log_{b} q^3 +\log_{b} v^6\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then it should become\[\log_{q^3v^6} \]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
if u zoom u will see the equation better
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
one sec while I check

good, you got it
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
btw you made a typo and it should be
\[\log\left(q^3v^6\right) \]
or
\[\log\left_{b}(q^3v^6\right) \]
but you pretty much got it
