But what if we are given the lengths of any two sides of the triangle, and the measure of its included angle, can we still find the area of the triangle? Answer the following questions: 1. Let A, B, and x be any values that you want. 2. Draw the height of the triangle, using either side A or B as the base. 3. Find the length of the height. (Hint: Use the right triangle that is created by the height, one of the sides, and part of base. How can you find a missing side of a triangle given an angle and one side?) 4. Using the height that you just found, find the area of the triangle using the traditional formula (A= \frac{1}{2}bh ). 5. Using steps 2 through 3, find the area of the triangle, but this time, without any inputted values for A, B, and x.
