So An investor would like to invest $60,000 in 2 stocks from a list of 6 suggested by a broker. How many investments of $30,000 each are possible? Am I combining or doing a permutation?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

There is no order here. If the stocks are A, B, C, D, E, and F, choosing A and B is the same as choosing B and A. Permutation: order matters Combination: order doesn't matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 30 with order and 15 without

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Pick the one where order does not matter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15 am I right? I just combined them

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Yes, 15 is correct.
