In a few steps, describe how you would titrate a base of unknown concentration with an acid with concentration 1 M.

Given that you know the acid is 1 M, the first thing you would do is write out the balanced chemical reaction for the acid and base. This would tell you the mol ratios of the two. How many moles of acid is required to react with 1 mole of the base. Next you add a known volume of base at at unknown concentration in a conical flask, and titrate with the acid. Calculate the number of moles of acid used ( given from the titration volume ) and you should know how many moles of the base reacted, this would lead you directly to your answer.
