can some one explain how neutralization of 2 elements (aq) works

sam (.sam.):

Neutralization is a chemical reaction in which an acid and a base react to form a salt. Neutralizations with Arrhenius acids and bases always produce water and salt XY. \[XOH + HY \rightarrow XY + H_2O\] Elements in aqueous (aq) is X and Y

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

eg. \[\large KOH+HCl=KCl+H_2O\] \[\large Acid+Base=Salt+Water\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

one more eg. \[\large NaOH+HCl=NaCl+H_2O\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

last eg. for your better understanding. \[\large NaOH+H_2SO_4=Na_2SO_4+H_2O\] Now balance it, we get \[\large 2NaOH+H_2SO_4=Na_2SO_4+2H_2O\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

Only keep in mind that: \[\huge \color{red}{Acid}+\color{blue}{Base}=\color{green}{Salt}+Water\]
