Explain the Le Chatelier's principle
According to French chemist Henry Louis Le Chatelier “if an external stress is applied to a system at equilibrium, the system will tend to react in such a way as to relive the applied stress and tries to re-establish the equilibrium.” Le Chatelier’s principle is a general principle that defines how systems in chemical equilibrium maintain their stability. In a chemical reaction the ‘stress’ means a change in concentration, pressure, volume or temperature. I am learning about equilibrium also :D but we have to do an assignment on a pool equilibrium system which is super hard!!
Le Chatelier's Principle is no more than a useful guide to help you work out what happens when you change the conditions in a reaction in \(dynamic~ equilibrium\). It doesn't explain anything.
This can be a lecture long explanation, but I found a good video on YouTube that you might find useful and can explain this a lot better than I can: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-fEvpVNTlE
