What would be the pH if the [H+] = 3.00 x 10-5 moles/liter? Please explain how to find this?
the pH would be the negative log of the [H+] so you would take -log (3.00 x 10 ^-5) and that would be your pH so 4.523 would be your pH the equation/ formula is pH = -log [H+]
Thanks so much!! I have one more question about this if you have a second. Do I find the log with my calculator? And what are the steps for doing this on a calculator?
I only use logs in the calculator, mine has a log button so I press the negative button, then log and put in the [H+] Your calculator might not have a log button, mine is a graphing calculator
Ok, makes sense! My calculator does have a log button, it's a scientific calculator. Thanks again! :)
no problem!
