the coordinates are point (x, y) you need to plug them in to the equation y < 3 - 2x one by one to see if they are solutions. for the first point (x, y) = (0, 4). plugging this in the inequality gives: 4 < 3 - 2(0) which gives 4 < 3. this is false, 4 is not less than 3. therefore the point (0,4) is not a solution.
