please help, it's trigonometry and i still am confused. equation coming

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\cos(x)-\sqrt{3-3\cos^2x}=0\]

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

\(\cos x-\sqrt{3-3\cos^2x}=0\) \(\cos x=\sqrt{3-3\cos^2x}\) Square both sides and then solve:)

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a little. so cos(x)*cos(x) = 3-3cos(x)?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

cos(x)*cos(x) = 3-3cos^2(x)

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

cosx*cosx=cos^2x

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

what will be the value of cos^2x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhhhhh. i honestly do not know. i've never seen this before in my life

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

x=3-3x can u pls solve this for x?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

@mattishot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=3-3x 0=3-3x-x = 0=3-2x, (0/3)/2 = x is undefined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gotta get to my next class. thanks fo ryour help
