What is an effective way to slow down or stop this reaction in aqueous solution? NaOH (aq) + KCl (aq) --> NaCl (aq) + KOH (aq) A. add a catalyst to the reaction mixture B. increase the pressure of the reaction mixture C. increase the surface area of the reactants D. add a lot of water to the reaction mixture **I don't get this one... please explain? thank you :)

what do you think @.Sam. ? :D

sam (.sam.):

Hold on a sec I'm in maths group, lol

haha okay :P

OpenStudy (abb0t):

D. It can't be A because catalysts are to speed up a reaction and lower activation energy, it also can't be B because you're working with aqueous solutions, and hence, increase in pressure would not do much. I don't even know what "C" means.

ohh okay haha thank you so much @abb0t :)
