The diagram shows the concentration of products (blue) and reactants (red) over time for a chemical reaction. Which of the following statements is true? A. Reactant and product concentrations are never equal. B. Reactant concentration is always decreasing. C. As time goes on, reactant and product concentrations become balanced. D. Product concentration is always increasing. **my answer: C again, not too sure :/ what do y'all think @.Sam. @abb0t :) diagram attached inside :)
do you get this @abb0t :)
It can't be A since they meet at a certain point...
yeah.. cuz they intersect in the beginning right? :)
yes.
and i didn't think it was B because the blue line is INCREASING right? :)
and i thought it was C cuz they're gonna meet again and become equal again soon right? as they keep going? what do u think? :)
C it is
haha yay!! :) thanks y'all! :)
What the graph is syaing is that they are are equilibrium and that there's no change in the amounts
ohh okay :)
they're gonna meet again and become equal again....NO
@mos1635.. okay :) so its just an equilibrium like @abb0t said? i just have one more!! :) ima post it :)
Initially, there are only reactants but as time progresses, products are formed and reactants are used up. if you look at the graph, when equilibrium is reached the amounts of reactants and products no longer changes but are not necessarily equal to each other. does that make cents?
yes that does :) thanks for all the awesome explanations @abb0t :)
