Need help calculating molar mass of a molcule If it says in formula 2K2c2O4 times h20 this means 1 molcule per 2 of the other molcule. If i got 2.5 grams of the whole substance, And i want to convert to moles, do use the 2 to get the molar mass? Isn't that supposed to be reserved for more ratio.?

When calculating molar mass, don't mind the ratios in the equation. The 2 will not affect the H2O mass, the H2O mass will only be affected. The 2 will, however, affect the mass of the first compound. To calculate, do 2(mass of K2C2O4) + (mass H2O)
