Using the periodic table, find the neutral atom that has the same electron configuration as 1s22s22p6

OpenStudy (jfraser):

You can answer this in one of 2 ways: how many electrons total are represented by that configuration?\[1s^22s^22p^6\] OR using the periodic table like a set of coordinates, what neutral atom is in the second row, p-block, 6 electrons full?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

if you count the total no of electrons in the following electronic configuration it s equal to the atomic no of element in periodic table :) which you can answer very easily:) and as @JFraser told the last electron is filled in the p -orbital it belongs to p block elements:)
