Please help me solve the following problem. Where does the line x=1+t , y=3-t , z=2t intersect the cylinder x^2+y^2=16?

put the values of x and y in the cylinder and find the value of 't'

then use that value of 't' back in x,y,z

t=3,-1

@experimentX the line will intersect the cylinder at 2 points, do we have to write the equation of the line pass through them or just let them as points? let them as points doesn't make sense at all

ah, got it, the cylinder!! ha, sorry, misunderstand!! I imagine it as a solid cylinder. hihi..
