An object is launched at 20 m/s from a height of 65 m. The equation for the height (h) in terms of time (t) is given by h(t) = -4.9t² + 20t + 65. What is the object's maximum height?

i think you need to specify whether the thing has been launched vertically (the obvious assumption) or at some other angle relative to, say, the level ground. if it has been launched vertically, you have the equation for its displacement. if you differentiate that equation (calculus-wise!), you get the equation that governs its velocity. when it stops rising, it will have a velocity of zero.
