thomaster (thomaster):

group 2 of the periodic table have 2 electrons in their valence shell. So they have to lose those 2 electrons to obtain the noble gas structure. For example Calcium (Ca) has to lose 2 electrons to aquire argon's (Ar) noble gas structure.

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

not noble gas structure but to have noble gas configuration you should use :) @thomaster

thomaster (thomaster):

oke :) tnx for the tip, didn't know there was a difference between noble gas structure and configuration

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

:)
