The electron configuration for carbon is: A.1s12s22p B.1s22s22p C.1s22s82p2 D.1s22s22p2

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

how many electron does carbon have ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

then addition of all the superscript values of s and P should be equal to 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it cant be B or C. im thinking D because i know s needs to be full so it needs two in it so would it be D?

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

yaaaa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would the awnswer would be d because all the subscripts add up too 6.

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

yaaa it will be D
