solve 2+6e^4x=19?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2 + 6e^{4x} = 19\]\[6e^{4x} = 19 - 2\]\[e^{4x} = \frac{ 17 }{ 6 } \]\[4x \ln e = \ln \frac{ 17 }{ 6 }\] x = ln(17/6)/4 because ln e = 1

Thank You i kinda got it

cool :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you do the same with 3e^x+1=5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes similar steps...once u have terms with "e" and then u ll take "ln" of both sides and continu solving
