A 1600 kg car on a flat ground is moving 6.25 m/s. Its engine creates a 1150N forward force as the car moves 45.8m. What is its final KE?
find the acceleration of the car. Then apply V^2=u^2+2fs to find the final velocity and use that v to find the KE
can you guide me through because i dont understand
oh sorry :) i will from Newton's second law, the acceleration a acquired by the vehicle due to the force is given by F=ma, substituting F=1150N and m=1600kg you can find a. Then from the motion equation \[v ^{2}=u ^{2}+2as\] you could find the final velocity v of the vehicle with an initial velocity u=6.25 ms^(-2) and travelling under an acceleration of a which you found in the step above Then for that final velocity v, you could find the KE using \[KE=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 } mv ^{2}\]
I tried it and i really don't understand. Can you try what you just told me, but with the actual numbers?
