PCl3 can be produced from the reaction of P4 with Cl2. P4(s) + 6 Cl2(g) ® 4 PCl3(g) If 1.00 g P4 reacts with 1.00 g Cl2, which reactant is the limiting reactant? What mass of product may be produced?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

limiting reactant = the reagent you have less moles of so to find the limiting reactant convert the mass given to moles, you also have to account for the stoichiometric coefficient, so divide the moles each species by it's coefficient to find the "normalized" amount moles.
