I have 53% Calcium Carbonate and i want to get 10% Calcium Acetate using 80% Acetic Acid?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hmm okay, you're doing: 2CH3COOH + CaCO3 -----> Ca(CH3COO)2 + H2O + CO2 you need 10% Ca(CH3COO)2 .. simply use the dilution equation, and find how much of each you need. | V C1V1=C2V2 I'm assuming that you don't need to take the Ka into account since the reaction of free acetate ions with Ca will drive the dissociation of acetic acid forward.
