ok so in my previous question with all the functions, I know have all the points I need to graph, how do I find the domain and range?
@jim_thompson5910 and @Luigi0210 I trust you guys, isn't the domain all the first numbers in the coordinates I have, and the range is all the second ones?
the domain is the set of allowed x values or inputs
so if you're dealing with a set of points, then the domain is the x coordinates of each point given
for example if some coordinates I had were (1,2) (2,3) (6,9) my domain would be 1,2,6 my range would be 2,3,9 correct?
if those were all of your points in the function, yes
they say to use the graph to determine the domain and range, but I can just use the points/ coordinates right?
and the range would be all the y coordinates?

if you think of every possible point on a function, then the domain is just the set of all the x coordinates of each point so this goes back to something like 1/(x^2-25) where x = 5 or x = -5 didn't work since they are not part of any point on the graph
same for the range
