Can anyone check my working for the question: Using algebra, find the point of contact for circle (x^2+y^2=25) and (x-5)^2 + (y+12)^2=64. I have attached the file below http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/51cff698e4b026b29867eb12-barbarakara-1372586734488-screenshot20130630at7.34.14pm.png

what was your attempt ?
First attempt: quadratic> x^2 - 325/72 +625/144 = 0 Second attempt: quadratic with no solution> 169/144x^2 + 64/144 x +53161/576 = 0 Calculator: x=1.92... and x=-4.6..
Graphics calculator says that the circles touch at (1.923,-4.615) but I am unable to achieve this algebraically.
