diffrenciate with respect to x sec(tanx)
sec(tan x).tan(tanx).sec^2x
can u give the method??? solve full question please!
Chain rule... and the 'hit list'. First, identify the outermost function, the function that sorta 'contains' all the others... which is it?
cn u solve full question fr me
Of course I can...but then again... YOU have to do it... I'm just here to help you along... :)
pls hlp me!!! give me the full method and solution
Yes, I'm here to help you... but not do it for you. There's a difference :) Now, please help me... help you. What's the outermost function of sec(tan(x)) ?
sorry, i didnt get ur question
Outermost... the one that contains all the others...
secx=secx*tanx
Let me just fix that... \[\Large \sec(x) \color{red}\neq \sec(x)\tan(x)\]\[\Large \frac{d}{dx}\sec(x) = \sec(x)\tan(x)\]
Okay, good, so you know that the derivative of sec(x) is sec(x)tan(x) So, part of the derivative of sec(tan(x)) would be sec(tan(x))tan(tan(x)) okay?
kkk
Now, once you've gotten rid of the sec(x) what's the next function (the one that's immediately inside the sec() )?
i got it
You're sure? Okay then.
tanx=sec^2x
So you multiply this to the sec(tanx)tan(tanx)
can i send u frnd request
All in good time.
