AB=73.8 N do you know trigonometry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope /:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how can i find the answer

OpenStudy (souvik):

lets take the horizontal direction as X direction and vertical direction as Y direction.. the X component of the force is Fcos(theta) and the Y component of it is F*sin(theta) here the theta is 39 degree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is fx 57.4 and fy 46.4?

OpenStudy (souvik):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

two more please!!!

The net force acting on an object in the horizontal direction is 25 newtons, and the force acting in the vertical direction is 18 newtons. Find the angle from the horizontal in which the force is acting.

OpenStudy (souvik):

AC=25 N BC=18 N tan(theta)=BC/AC theta=Tan^-1(BC/AC)
