OpenStudy (anonymous):

@chmvijay please help..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry there is also heat..... Ca + CO2 +H2O + heat ----> ???????

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

CACO3 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ca + CO2 +H2O + heat ----> CaCO3 + H2 ( Is this reaction possible? )

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

yaaa may be but not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How can we confirm about it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CaO+H2O ---> Ca(OH)2 formed ....and when we pass CO2.. Ca(OH)2+CO2--> CaCO3 +H2O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need water so that the reaction can take places. CO2(g)+H2O(l)--> H2CO3(aq) NOW IT IS BALANCE CaOH2(s)+H2CO3(aq) --> CaCO3(s)+2H2O(l)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ca + CO2 +H2O ==> CaCO3 + H2, why not?
