PLEASE HELP! The ideal gas law states the volume of a gas V varies, jointly with the number of molecules, M, and the temperature, T, and varies inversely with the pressure, P. If the constant of proportionality is 8.3, which of the following would represent the ideal gas law? A. VMT/P=8.3 B. VM/TP=8.3 C. VP/TM=8.3 D. VT/MP=8.3

I know the 2 formulas for joint variation and inverse variation Joint Variation for this problem is : V = kMT Inverse Variation for this problem is : VP = k I know that k = 8.3 So V = 8.3MT and VP = 8.3

I think the answer is C because when you have V = 8.3MT you can transform that into 8.3 = V/MT and if you use the inverse variation in that sense then you would multiply V/MT by P so the answer would be VP/TM = 8.3
