Anything to a negative needs to be switched
kindof like an inverse
2=1/2, 3=1/3
Hint: \[2^{-1} = \frac{1}{2}\] \[3^{-1} = \frac{1}{3}\]
if you add the two together, what do you get? @elenastrawn25

5/6

yes with the negative exponents they just turn into fractions
Yea..

or i mean yikes bad example
The negative in the exponent means "inverse"
if you try to solve 4/1^-1 you will get 4
lol when you think about inverse, think about flipping a fraction upside-down. or, make a whole number into a fraction (4=4/1) and flip it over
\(2^{-1}\) means the inverse or reciprocal of \(2^1\)
