When the positive integer k is divided by 9, the remainder is 4. What is the remainder when k^2 is divided by 9? can someone explain the steps in detailed please? (•‿•) Thanks!

Heres how I would approach this problem. The remainder when you divide k by 9 is 4, so k is 4 more than a multiple of 9. Therefore k could equal 13. So let k=13. Now, k^2 is equal to 13^2 which is 169. Now, find the remainder when you divide this by 9.
