use the quadratic formula...

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so using the quadratic formula of $$\bf sin(x)= \cfrac{ -(-34) \pm \sqrt { (-34)^2 -4(75)(3)}}{2(75)}\\ sin(x) = 0.33333333333333333333, sin(x) =0.12\\ sin^{-1}(sin(x)) = sin^{-1}(0.33333333333333333333) \implies x = 19.47122063449069136904^o\\ sin^{-1}(sin(x)) = sin^{-1}(0.12) \implies x = 6.89210257934638012332^o $$

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

it's really just a matter of plugging in your "a" "b" and "c" components

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jdoe0001 these are the answer choices though: x=0.116, 0.311 x=0.118, 0.322 x=0.120, 0.340 x=0.122, 0.358 x=0.124, 0.369

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, if you don't want the angle itself, just the sine value, then check above sin(x)=0.33333333333333333333 => 0.34 sin(x)=0.12
