\[\huge 8y-6=7y\] then add -6 to both sides, \[\huge 8y-6+6=7y+6\] then subtract 7y to both the sides, \[\huge 8y-7y=6\] \[\huge y=6\]
so angle 2 \[\huge \angle 2=7y\] put y=6 , we get \[\huge \angle2=7 \times 6=42^ \circ\]
so option d is right answer
hope you understand. @MayMay_69
