OpenStudy (watermelon14):

Which of these statements best proves that electromagnetic forces are weaker than strong nuclear forces? Neutrons do not repel or attract each other when they are in the nucleus. Electrons do not move out of an atom when it forms bonds with other atoms. Protons do not move out of the nucleus of atoms although they repel each other. Atoms do not have any charge on them although they consist of charged particles.

@theEric

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

Anyone?

OpenStudy (theeric):

I think I got it! Do you have any guesses?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

I picked B?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

so is it B?

OpenStudy (theeric):

watermelon14?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

So is it b cuz thats what I picked

OpenStudy (theeric):

I didn't think so.. I'm not sure if nuclear forces affect electrons much or not, but I think that an electron being shared by two atoms fails to demonstrate the strength of nuclear forces as being greater than electromagnetic forces. I think there's a better option...

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

Would that be A then?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

@theEric

OpenStudy (theeric):

Why do you think A?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

What do you think then? @theEric

OpenStudy (theeric):

Hmmm?

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

What did you get?? @theEric

OpenStudy (theeric):

I won't just tell you the answer. I'll help you figure it out!

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

Well I need help :( right now :(

OpenStudy (watermelon14):

@theEric

OpenStudy (theeric):

So look through those options where you'll find electromagnetic forces (there must be charges involved) and nuclear forces (must be in the nucleus).

OpenStudy (theeric):

Let me know which option you \(think\) \(might\) be possibly correct.
