a. Based on the figure, Jordan says that 2/3 RW = RU . Kendra disagrees. Is either of them correct? b. If QW = 27 inches, find QT.

where is QW in figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, W is in the center where all the lines intersect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and T at the bottom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

27=(2/3)QT

QT=40.5

@yahya90 what does that mean? i dont even understand what Jordan is saying. is he right or wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each line inside the triangle halve the side"s lines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so Jordan said that it was 2/3rds. not 1 half. so jordan was wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no jordan was right cause inside lines create Isosceles triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rw=ws

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaayy... i have my answer then. but im not really sure what that means :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if each inside lines halve the rib triangle from the center you found this relation

OpenStudy (radar):

Looking at this, at least the a. part. It is apparent that RU is longer than RW. There fore 2/3 RW would be even less than RU, let along equal it.
