OpenStudy (sarahc):

Describe in detail what you know about the enthalpy, entropy, and free energy changes when a sample of gas condenses to a liquid. How does temperature affect these changes?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Enthalpy: is heat released or absorbed when gas condenses? Entropy: is the order of the molecules increased or decreased as the gas condenses? Gibbs free energy (G), dG=dH-TdS

OpenStudy (sarahc):

release and less disorder

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

what do mean by this release and less disorder

OpenStudy (sarahc):

I'm answering aaronq

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

i know do u find any difficulty regarding the answer given by aaroq he is not here now if u want i can clarify which you are not getting

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

higher temperature to a lower temperature wont change the entropy to negative :) by decreasing the temperature the gas getting condensed to the liquid in this process entropy has decreased Bcoz Entropy of Gas > entropy of liquid other things are OK:)

OpenStudy (sarahc):

Oh oops. Thanks for the correction :)
