I am confused! I have a problem on homework: Find the limit. Use I'Hospital's Rule where appropriate. If there is a more elementary method, consider using it. limit as x goes to 0+ of lnx/x

l'hopitals doesn't give correct answer because 2-sided limit doesnt exist answer is neg infinity

how do you get negative infinity?

only thing i can think of is go old school and plug in small x values and show it diverges to neg infinity

okay thank you! what about the limit as x goes to 0 of (e^x) -1 -x / x^2

with direct substitution you get 0/0

so then using Hospitals Rule...... what do you do?

take derivatives of top/bottom --> (e^x -1)/ 2x you still get 0/0 do it again --> e^x / 2 you get 1/2
