PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL AWARD MEDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When asked to find the zeros of the function r(t) = 5t^3 – 8t^2 + 7t + 2 which task would you complete first - Rational Root Theorem or Descartes’ Rule of Signs? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning.
@Loser66 @Mertsj
hi their @satellite73
not sure why there is a choice only possible rational roots are \(1,2,\pm\frac{1}{5}, \pm\frac{2}{5}\)so maybe try those first on the other hand since this has two changes in sign, there are either 2 or no positive real zeros i never knew you were supposed to choose between the methods though
I do not understand.
to me, I will choose the rational root theorem to do first because the question is " find the zeros of the functions". If they ask " how many real, imaginary roots?" then I choose Decarte rule. Got what I mean?
Yes I do.
ok
@satellite73 @Loser66
what is the question? the posted one was solved, right? so??
No it was not solved? Or that is what I think.
I gave you mine which included the explanation why I choose that method, is it not an answer?
Oh but it also asks for the zeros? Am I wrong.
the question just asked about which method do you choose to solve, not about the roots. If the second part is " find the roots" then satelite73 gave you all of them.
Oh ok I misunderstood the answer thank you.
