volume is intensive or extensive property?explain.

It's an extensive property because it relies on the system you have. You can change the volume any time you want just like the temperature or pressure. An intensive property is something like the density which you can't change. Suppose you have a huge rock and chip off a piece. Even though one piece is larger than the little piece you have in your hand, they both have the same density. If density were an extensive property you might suspect that a large boulder would sink and a small rock would float or something like that, but we all know that all rocks sink no matter how big they are.
