Well I cant draw but I know that the new graph will not be a function because it fails he vertical line test.
Alright, so you have y = x^2. If you switch x and y, you get x = y^2. Solving for y, you end up with: \[y = \pm \sqrt{x}\] It's the same algebraic approach we took before to find the inverse. Now the problem does not restrict us in any way, so because of that, our inverse would be like this: |dw:1376283070183:dw| Now normally, we would have restrictions on this because inverse functions are 1 to 1. Without anything given to us, though, we do not know which part of the inverse to use. So I would leave it like that and say that it is not a function because it does not pass the vertical line test.
