sqrt -32

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so, what do you think it's?

OpenStudy (debbieg):

\[\sqrt{-32}=\sqrt{-1}\sqrt{32}=i \sqrt{16x2}=4i \sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its 4i sqrt 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry sorry it was sqrt of -48

OpenStudy (debbieg):

OK then, since 48=16x3, it is 4i sqrt(3), arrived at as I showed above but with 3 instead of in the product under the radicand. :)
