Find an equation in standard form for the line described: Passing through the points (-2,3) and (-2,6) I know that the slop is 2/0, which is infinity, so how do I get this into standard form? If you could show the conversion from slope intercept to standard form in your work, that would help me understand this a lot!
2/0?? this is undefined..
so the line is vertical, which means the answer is just undefined?
mmm strange... wait let me try
Thanks, let me know what you find :)
yeah you are right:) the graph will be vertical..
But how do I write that in standard form?
y=mx+b where m is the slope.. well, i don't think there's a standard form for this it's only x=-2
how do u figure out the slop if it's infinity?
*slope
if the slope is undefined.. or if given the points on the line, points have same x=coordinates then slope is infinity..
so then the answer in slope intercept would be y=infinityx+b?
i'm not sure.. b/c there's no y-intercept(b).. so as is said before, the equation will be x= -2
alright, thank you
np:)
