not in the mood of getting serious answers? Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i asked for an explanation..what +1?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

The oxidation state of Cs. it will loose an e- since it's in the first group. It will be easier for it to loose an electron and complete the octet rule then to gain seven electrons and follow the rule.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

So yes, +1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay that part makes sense but what exactly is an oxidation state?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Oxidation state is just another word for the "+1".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh...i get it now....wow man you were useful for once! :D

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

I'm glad.
