(a) There is a bottle in the storeroom that contains 4.71 cm3 of a metallic solid. The combined mass of the bottle and solid is 35.62 g. The empty bottle has a mass of 14.22 g. Determine the density of the solid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

density=mass/volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mass of solid: total mass-mass of bottle: 32.62-14.22= then plug this mass of solid into the formula..

OpenStudy (mary.rojas):

subtract the empty bottle mass from the total mass of the bottle+solid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 9065 ?
