please include your reasoning with this ... Q. rate of a reaction does not depend upon: 1. pressure 2.temperature 3.concentration 4.catalyst. i find all of them correct =/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Catalyst.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Catalyst only facilitates the reaction like initializing and all but it doesn't alter the rate.

OpenStudy (goformit100):

First of all @queendrama : A Warm Welcome to 'Open Study'. Please Read CoC (compulsory to read by all "Open Study" users) : http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Catalysts DO accelerate the rate of a reaction by providing a path with lower activation energy required to reach a transition state. This way, more reagent molecules are converting into product per unit time. Catalysts don't affect the extent of the reaction though. All of the options affect the rate of a reaction. (unless it's a solution, then pressure has no effect.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry..my mistake, yes it does increase the rate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @aaronq pressure is the correct one! thanks a million!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@goformit100 yeah read it.
