Which of the following is a possible set of quantum numbers for an electron n, l, m subscript l, m subscript s (1, 1, 0, +one over two ) (2, 1, 1, +one over two ) (3, 2, 3, -one over two ) (3, -2, 1, -one over two )
do u know what n l and m
for each value of n there will be some values for l and m do u know this ?
no i do not! i am very confused
ok for n =1 l can have only one values that is l=0 and if l = o then ml=0 similarly for n=2 l can have only two values l=0 and if l= 0 then ml =0 l=1 and if l=1 then ml =+1 0 -1 similarly can u write for n=3
so the answer is b? because d has negatives and c i dont think would make sense because it doesnt follow the same rules
so would it be the same foe n=3 (300)?
yaa
but this is for l=0 u have to find for l =0 ,1 and 2
