Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is heated and decomposes to form calcium oxide (CaO) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Which statement is true about the difference between calcium carbonate and calcium oxide? Calcium oxide has different physical properties and different chemical properties. Calcium oxide has the same physical properties and different chemical properties. They're both white poweder, so I guess the physical properties are the same. Calcium oxide heavily reacts with water while calcium carbonate doesn't, so the chemical properties are not the same. So I guess it's the second one. And @goformit100 you said: "I can guide you", why did you neglect that part?
