I don't want the answer,just an could someone explain to me what the question is asking? 5. What is percent yield? Let’s say, using the equation in #3, you calculated a theoretical yield of 3.5 Liters of water given a specific amount of H and O. Suppose, using the same reactants, the actual yield was 3.1 Liters. Calculate the efficiency of this process.

percent yield would be like, if you were making cupcakes, and you had the batter for 10 cupcakes (which would be the theoretical yield) but you dropped some and only made 8 (which is the actual yield). Then, your percent yield is: \(\%\;yield=\dfrac{8}{10}*100\%=80\% \;yield\)

3. You are a chair maker. The items you need for 1 chair include: 1 chair frame, 4 legs, and 2 seat cushions (back and bottom). If you have 8 chairs, 30 legs, and 20 seat cushions, what is the “limiting” material in this example?

the limiting reactant would be the one you don't have enough of. If you have 8 frames, 30 legs, and 20 seat cushions you need for each: 1 frame, 4 legs, 2 cushions. 8 frames: you can make 8 chairs 30 legs: you can make 30/4=7 chairs + 2 extra legs 20 cushions: you can make 20/2=10 chairs clearly yo don't have enough legs, so, thats the limiting reactant.

Since you don't have an actual yield and a theoretical yield you can't give a percent yield measurement, it's irrelevant.
